Humla Simikot Kailash tour is challenging, presents extra ordinary experience that stands beyond human imagination & is almost inexplicable. Overwhelming landscapes, exotic cities, artistic monasteries, all these and more are awaiting to reward you with. If you would long to discover the archetypal region within short period of time, this trip is particularly designed targeting those parties who have very limited time and yearning to explore the devout Kailash. We a ensure your every moment spend there full of joyous as well as gratifying and satisfying with boundless enthusiasm.
Day 01: Arrival at the Tribhuwan International airport then transfer to the hotel in twin sharing basis. If you have any other interest then you could also come little early in Nepal.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. Visit Swayambhunath temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath. Then kathamndu Durbar Square visit, or other touristic site , and back to the hotel, rest and dinner.
Day 03: Processing for the Tibet visa and Nepal side restricted area permits. Or even rest days for the preparation.
Day 04: Fly Kathmandu-Nepalgunj. It is a one-hour flight, and will take you to the lowlands in southwestern part of Nepal. We will stay here one night, giving us the opportunity to observe the daily life of these lowland people.
Day 05: Early morning Flight Nepalgunj-Simikot and trek up to Dharapuri (2270m). In the morning, we will take a 40-minute flight to the wonderful city of Simikot. We will register our permit in the police stations, have lunch, and continue to walk to Dharapuri, which is four hours away. It will be a beautiful walk through the jungle and villages of Thakuri people, who ruled the Humla-Karnali region in the past (16th – 17th century).
Day 06: Trek to Dharapuri-Kirmi-Sallikhola (2300m). Today we will follow the Karnali River through the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. The Kirmi village has a hot spring, so we can enjoy this on the way to Sallikhola. We will camp in a beautiful site on the bank of river.
Day 07: Trek through Yalbang- to Tumkot khola (3180m). We will continue to follow the Karnali river towards its origin (Rakash lake). We will see the Gompa (Buddhist temple) of Yalbang on the way. It is the largest and most impressive Gompa in this area. It has old Monastery, as well as the border police station. Well have to register our permit and passport here.
Day 08: Trek to Sipsip (4330m). Today will be somewhat difficult as we begin to feel the effects of the high elevation. We will leave the Karnali River and start the climb up towards Sipsip. It is beautiful walk through this alpine region.
Day 09: Trek to Hilsa / Sher (Tibetan Border) (3860m). This day will also be somewhat difficult because of the rugged terrain. We will have an early morning breakfast. On the way to Hilsa, we will cross the Pass, Nara la (4600m), and descend down to Hilsa. Here we will meet Karnali River again.
Day 10: To Taklakot (4450m). Today we will take care of some border formalities in Sher and then meet our Land cruiser and truck and Tibetan Guide.We will drive from here to Taklakot. On the way, we will visit Khojarnath Gompa, which was built in the 11th century. The landscape and the scenery of Gurlamandata and the Darchula Mountain range are beautiful. This ~110 km drive will take us about 2.5 hours. We will spend the night in a guesthouse. Here the army will do a formal immigration check.
Day 11: Drive to Lake Manasarovar. This drive will take us about 3 hours. We will pass many villages and water springs while driving. The scenery of the landscape and mountains are wonderful. After ~2 hours we will reach Gurla pass, from where we will have first view of Holy Mt. Kailash. We will also get view of the blue waters of Lake Rakshesh and Manasarowar. Today we will camp in Lake Manasarowar (4600m) at the south side of the lake Near by Thullgo Gompa(Most of the tourist camp by near chiyu gompa but this is very crowded place. So we will camp near south side from where you will able to enjoy beautiful view of Kailash, Gurlamandata and lake Manasarovar).
Day 12: We will rest half day in Lake manasarovara. Then Drive to Darchen overnight stay in very basic dormitory style Guest House. Arrange the yak for our Parikarma.
Day 13: Parikarama starts. Trek to Diraphuk Gompa.Evening camp there. We will enjoy the very close view of Kailash.
Day 14: Trek to Zuthulphuk (cross 5600m Dolma pass). This will be the hardest. Day of our trek and will take about 8 hours. We will have an early breakfast and begin our trek towards Dolma la. On the way we will meet many pilgrims. The difficulty of the day’s walk will seem worth it as we peer up at glorious Mt. Kailash. We will camp near medicine Buddha Mountain in Zuthulphuk valley.
Day 15: Trek to back to Darchen (Kora ends). After breakfast, we will walk for about 4 hours. We will visit Melarepa cave on the way and continue driving to Thirthapuri one of the other holy place where all pilgrims feel worth full to visit after Kailash Kora.
Day 16: Drive to Tholing
Day 17: Drive to Tsaprang for the sightseeing in the morning , afternoon drive to Mensi and Camp.
Day 18: Drive to Lake Manasrowar (East side) Horr chu.
Day 19: Drive to Paryang, the drive provides you excellent mountain scenery and small hills made by sand.
Day 20: Drive to saga on the bank of Tamchok Khambab (Brahmaputra) River.
Day 21: Drive to Nyalam, early morning cross the river by ferri and drive across many passes, the drive provides excellent view of Shishapangma and other peaks. On the way visit Pigutso, another beautiful lake.
Day 22: Drive to Zhangmu ( Kodari), finish border formalities and drive back to Kathmandu. Then transfer to the hotel, rest and dinner.
Day 23: Free and easy day in Kathmandu. Visit touristic area of Thamel and shopping, buy some souvenirs, Evening time Nepalese cultural show and dinner.
Day 24: After breakfast, departure for your onward Journey with taking the sweet memory of the holiday.
