Helambu is situated in the northern part of the country, about 75km from Kathmandu and the area is inhabited by Sherpa’s. The languages, culture, and dress of Helambu Sherpa are different from those of Solukhumbu Sherpa. Helambu trek is one of the most convenient of the short trek close to Kathmandu but crowd less. For a spectrum of Nepali people and the Himalayas, the Helambu trek is unrivaled. The trek passes through some beautiful forests and very interesting villages on route.
As the journey progresses you visit the homes of Brahmins, Tamangs, and Sherpa people of Nepal. This place has scenic grandeur and pleasant climate as well as a long history of Buddhism, culture, and ancient tradition of Tamang and Sherpas.
(Sherpa of Helambu are quite distinct from the Sherpas of Solu Khumbu Everest region) both in language and customs. The people in Helambu were carefully exploited to a lower cast because of a Nepali king who was afraid they could give rebellion as they live all around the city regions. To this result, they still live in a backward civilization. The ranges of mountains that rise above us match the diversity of the people we meet. From low altitudes, we have excellent views of mountains that include Langtang, the Annapurna, Manaslu, and even Everest on a clear day. This is a pleasant and exciting journey, a time to relax and become immersed in the beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Sundarijal, 30min drive and trek to Chisopani 2140m.
Day 04: Trek to Gulbhanjyang 2140m/5hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Tharepati 3640m/3hrs.
Day 06:Trek to Malemchigaon 2530m/5hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Tarkegyang 2590 m/4hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Sermathang 2610m/4hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Malemchipul Bazar 880m/3hrs.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 11: Free day at Kathmandu, shopping souvenir, etc.
Day 12: Departure.
